HDSL is part of Harvard's Behavioral Laboratory in the Social Sciences (BLISS) initiative. BLISS provides undergraduates in Harvard College with an opportunity for sustained engagement with experimental science in the context of a residential program during the summer term. BLISS fellows working at HDSL typically work alongside faculty researchers in the conduct of studies coming into the lab. With appropriate faculty supervision, BLISS Fellows may also design and run their own studies in the lab - a particular benefit for rising seniors contemplating writing a thesis.
